PRINCIPALE

Office Buildings rho-pero exposition

Office building of 15 e 22 floors in the architecture park of Rho-Pero fair, conference hall, roof gardens, external accommodations.

The project symbolically reverses in vertically the same concept of Fuksas’ fair centre. The
buildings create a central void, identifying an axis which ideally communicates with
the horizontality of the large sail-roof of the Exhibition center. The buildings are designed to dialogue with the Fair landmarks, but also they point to express their own autonomy, which aims to complete the urban layout of a wider geographical area.
The choice of the towers is the result of a careful context interpretation; a low building
would start a competition with the fair existing buildings, while two towers remain
paradoxically more respectful and ensure balance between autonomy and relationship.
The two towers develop around a central void, that becomes a third building, a nonintrusive
symbol which leaves to the existing structures their role of architectonic icon.
The building shape allows floor variable dimensions; this, together with a modular
control of the entire system, ensures a good flexibility.
The project (designed to reach A energy efficiency class according to CENED criterion)
focus on the environmental sustainability and energy efficiency requirements.
